Summary: After finished graduate school in June 2015, I moved to Shreveport, LA and began working at Kevin Bryan Architects, LLC.
Working here right out of school was hugely beneficial to me - since KBA is a small 4-person firm, I was able to gain experience in aspects of architectural projects from schematic planning all the way through construction. I was lucky to be involved in everything from bidding processes, client meetings and permitting coordination with city officials, while also getting plenty of experience in ‘down and dirty’ firm work, such as production of renderings, drafting, detailing, material selections and photographing completed work.
I was able to work on many great downtown Shreveport buildings through this office, including:
-The Shreveport Aquarium,
-The Riverfront Theater,
-The Strand Theater,
-The Arlington Hotel (now in construction to become Every Man A King Distillery),
-and many others!
During my ~4 years at KBA I integrated new software into their workflow, primarily with the introduction of BIM software Autodesk Revit. I completed several large scale Commercial and Industrial projects using Revit as the primary production tool, often using a combination of AutoCAD, Revit and Photoshop for production of renderings and marketing materials.
You can view some of my work, including renderings, graphics and photographs of built work on the KBA website I built using wordpress.
I've included a small collection of my favorite photographs of built work and a few renderings for various proposed projects in the gallery below.
